History Records Greatness
I mentioned that I would be talking you through the next batch of tattoos that I'm donning on my forearm. A collage of great men that have inspired me in various ways through their stories, pain and courage.
Great men whose names are recorded in history and will live on forever...
The first legend I have donned, is Arthur Ashe. His autobiography is the first I've ever read and have read it a few times. "Days of Grace" is a tale of a man who beat the odds within his own community, especially since tennis wasn't considered a black sport. He pushed himself to the limits and became the first black an to win Wimbledon.
Off the court he was politically active and used his celebrity to speak of social woes.
The man had taste, partied, played sports at the highest level and eventually died a tragic death.
Meet Arthur Ashe.
