Chilling with Scoop

As a promoter/marketer/record exec and general JHB ninja, I meet so many people. I have many acquaintances, I'm cool with plenty people, I have very few friends and I have even fewer brothers.

I often tweet about my Wolfpack. These are my brothers. A group of men that I love and do not have to throw out the "no homo" for. These men know me,these men have been through wars with me,these men understand me and these men got me.

Siyabonga "Scoop Jackson" Ngwekazi and I had our first real conversation on a basketball court almost ten years ago. The man is one of the last of the Mohicans. He is the originator of a sub-culture and isn't even aware of it. The steez you see with the hairstyles, gear and slang... my dude was on it years ago.
He is hands down the very best we have at his craft and up there with the funniest people I know.

Famlamb... How are you?
I am well my brother, can't complain goddbody.hope u are in good spirits too.

How's work?
Challenging...work is getting challenging. We are realising that no one is going to do what we want, the way we want it except us.All we got is us,and when i say us,i mean our generation.

What are you busy with?
The bread and butter is Vuzu and Yfm.Blackberry ambassador,Audi A1 ambassador,Nike Ambassador,Shareholder in AMA-KIP KIP,I do alotta voice overs. MC gigs. What i am most proud of this year is that i have registered my own production company. That is gonna be the locomotive for most ideas to pop-off.

You're passionate about all you partake in, what feeds the passion?
Hunger,we are from the bottom over here.I watched my idols get it and lose it and I vowed that I will not be like that.Staying hungry is something I get from you .Also basketball,"You are only as good as your last game", so u treat every game like the last.

So does where you come from influence you at all?
It permeates through everything i do.shout out to Port Elizabeth

How has travelling the world changed your life?
Your mind expands when u travel. You learn more about yourself than the new place you are in. It re-affirms what is really important in life. It allows you to compare yourself to the world and not just South Africa or Africa.

Coolest celebrity you've met so far?
Thapelo Mokoena and Lungile Radu

Why was Street Journal important?
It was a cultural pillar.A hub for all creatives to see how their idols did it and learn from their moves. Not to mention politically challenging to views held by both government and regular South Africans.

What's Scoop gonna be doing in five years?
His own shows and making shows and the dreams of his peers come true. Not to mention he will be freaking style on some next -level shit.lol! Tibz you know ima get you on TV... It needs you.

Aren't you tired of constantly defending me?
Not yet... it is strenuous though...but that is the work of a good man, to defend honour but more than being tired of defending you,I am tired of people who feel the need to attack, ridicule,or belittle others' efforts. Plus they still trace you.

How many pairs of kicks you got?
A lot. With some I have given away.I don't know in my life,I am just about acquiring.Taking stock is something I never do.Am scared to be comfortable.

Dope pair of kicks and dope pair of shades... Choose one?
Jordan 3's(white or black) Cazals with the 858

How important is style to you?
Extremely...lets just say i cannot get with a girl who doesn't have style.

You follow me on twitter?
 HELL fucking yeah!

Salute the Wolfpack...
